Terms & Conditions
A: Buy
A1. Bookwormers stocks new and used books. Bookwormers takes all reasonable steps to make sure our books are in good readable condition with all pages in tact. Our books are listed with their conditions and where a book may have a fault all reasonable steps are taken so that it will be listed on the book details. Where a book is found to be faulty a full refund of the purchase price will be given with proof of purchase. Refunds are at the sole discretion of Bookwormers management and staff.
A2. Book Condition Guide
All our books have all their pages in tact and all pages are readable (unless otherwise stated). Please find our general guide below for what to expect when you purchase our books.
Average condition – these books are used books that may have general wear & tear, some page discolouration, spine creasing, corners of the front cover taped etc.
Good condition – these books are generally used books that have minor wear & tear and corners of the front cover taped.
Very good condition – these books are generally new books or used books in excellent condition. These books are in “like new” condition. If they have any minor faults all reasonable steps will be taken to make sure these are listed.
A3. Where a book is purchased and the customer receives it in a condition that they think is not matching the description given a full refund of the purchase price will be given with proof of purchase. The final decision of returns is at the sole discretion of Bookwormers management and staff. Books must be returned in the condition that they were sold in and all costs incurred for returning books are at the customer's expense.
B: Sell
B1. Where a customer has books to sell to Bookwormers, Bookwormers has the right to refuse all or part of the books. Book purchasing is at the sole discretion of Bookwormers management and staff.
B2. The person who is selling the books must be the owner of the books and obtained them in a legal manner.
B3. Where Bookwormers has purchased books from the customer, their full name and contact details must be supplied for Bookwormers records. This information is solely used for our accountant's records and will not be passed onto any other third parties unless required to by law.
B4. Bookwormers does not give out cash for book purchases - A shop credit only will be given.
B5. Credit is not redeemable for cash.
B6. Credit is valid for 24 months from the date credit was given.
C: Exchange
C1. Only selected books are on our Book Exchange facility. Credit is only available to books that are specified accordingly and were purchased from Bookwormers through our website or retail outlet. These books will be marked with the appropriate sticker and will state the Buy price and the Credit prices.
C2. All books sent to us must be freight paid by the sender and at the senders own risk. Bookwormers Online will not be liable for any damage or loss during postage.
C3. Books received by us that qualify for our book exchange will be assessed by Bookwormers staff and where credit is given the credit will be added to the customers shop account. Our assessment is final and solely at the discretion of Bookwormers management and staff.
C4. Credit is not redeemable for cash.
C5. Credit is valid for 24 months from the date credit was given.
C6. Bookwormers management and staff have the right to refuse credit.
C7. Questions relating to these Terms and Condition may be submitted to us through our
contact page.
D: Delivery Policy
D1. Bookwormers shall deliver the goods to the address stated on the order.
D2. We aim to have the goods couriered or posted within 24 hrs of receiving full payment (Monday to Friday) and where possible customers will advise by e-mail if a delay is expected.
D3. Bookwormers will not be responsible for any part delivery or delay in delivery of the goods as a result of events occurring beyond Bookwormers control. Bookwormers shall not be in any way responsible for any consequences (direct or indirect) arising from such delay or non-delivery.
D4. Bookwormers will take all reasonable steps in making sure goods are packaged appropriately and accept no responsibility for damage or loss occurring during delivery.
E: Return Policy – Outside of the Book Exchange Facility Terms and Condition
E1. Bookwormers will not accept the return of goods for credit or any other purpose unless Bookwormers agrees to accept the return of the goods and advises the Customer of a
return advice number prior to the return of goods.
E2. Return of goods will only be accepted within 14 days of delivery, unless due to Bookwormers error.
E3. Return freight will be at Bookwormers cost only when there has been an error on Bookwormers part.
E4. No returned goods shall be accepted by Bookwormers (even if Bookwormers agrees to do so) if they are not in the condition they were sold in, if they are goods expressly sold on a non-return basis, or if they are not accompanied by the return advice number referred to above. Where goods are returned to Bookwormers but not accepted as above, they shall be returned to the customer at their expense.
F: Refund / Disputes Resolution Policy
F1. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act guarantees that our goods:

are of acceptable quality;

are reasonably fit for any particular purpose that is made known by you;

correspond with any description, sample or demonstration model;

will be owned by you once you purchase the goods.
F2. Where Bookwormers Online accepts responsibility for a mistake, and if the problem can be fixed, we will endeavor to fix the problem within a reasonable time and at no additional cost to you.
If we can't fix the problem within a reasonable time, your rights allow you to:

return the goods and ask for your money back,

ask for replacement goods (if the retailer can easily replace them).

G: 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
If your book arrives and you are not happy with it, our guarantee means that you can return it for a 100% refund of the purchase price.

H: Privacy Policy
H1. Bookwormers will not pass on any personal details to any third party, unless required to by law. You can ask for your details to be removed from our database at any time by
contacting us.
I: Gift Vouchers
I1. Gift Vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
I2. If the full amount of the voucher is not used, no cash will be given. The outstanding amount will be added as a customers credit (Refer section '
C' for terms and conditions).
I3. Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
I4. If the Expiry Date or Authorisation section of the voucher is altered in any way the voucher will no longer be valid.
These terms and conditions may be subject to change and updating by the management of Bookwormers .
